Jayne is a Midwestern girl. She grew up in Omaha, attending University of Texas- Austin, University of Nebraska- Omaha, and graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a B.S. Jayne then traveled to Arizona for some warmer weather and worked as a medical dietitian for three years and then became the broker/owner of a real estate firm, specializing in property management and real estate sales. The love of her life from high school swept her off her feet once again, and she moved back to the Midwest with her daughter in 1991, leaving her parents and sister in Arizona. Jayne found a niche in real estate lending in this area and found it to be rewarding – helping her clients finance their first or next home. She has been on that side of the real estate industry for over 18 years.
Jayne took a hiatus in 2002, and returned to school for a degree in Interior Design. She worked in the Iowa City area for 5 years and then returned to mortgage lending. Jayne was a leading residential lender, and managed lenders as well in the SE Iowa area. Her level of expertise in residential real estate allows her to bring knowledge and sound financial advice to her clients.
She finds passion in many community causes, including Shelter House, Elder Services, Iowa Women’s Foundation, Friends of the Animal Shelter, and the American Heart Association. Iowa City continues to be her home and when she is not helping her clients with their search for the “right” place, she is home knitting, cooking, or spending time with her “girls” (Tosh and Zeva, Giant Schnauzers) and her husband, Mark, while her daughter, Mark’s three sons, and two grandchildren anxiously await the next time they will visit.
In your search for someone with the skill set to help you, whether it be buying or selling, call Jayne to help you navigate the process and keep the “bumps” to a minimum.
